This blog post investigates the role that IoT and Big Data play in the healthcare industry. It reflects on how wearables and user-accessible dashboards can be used to augment health care going forward. There is a strong focus on the implementation of AWS big data tools in the industry (Redshift, EC2, Kinesis, etc.) as well as a sample implementation that demonstrates what a finished product may look like one day.
A Glimpse:
The group I worked with studied the optical cone beam computed tomography (CT) scanning of radiochromic gel dosimeters. A majority of the dosimetric information is measured within the lower 10-20% of the camera sensor's range. To counteract this, our group presents a method that involves printing source compensators on transparent film...
A Glimpse:
We worked with a group from The University of Western Ontario to evaluate the efficacy of a different gel compound for dosimeters. I designed, executed and analyzed the experiments to determine the different properties of this new gel dosimeter.
A Glimpse:
A continuation of the previous work down by Kurtis Dekker. This note builds on the previous sensor work done with the Modus 3D Scanner and in-house gel dosimeters.
